JUST recently, beauty expert Ricky Reyes shared his experience as a pioneer tenant at SM City North Edsa and gave us an insight on his wonderful relationship with SM founder and chairman Henry Sy Sr.
Weeks before, Antolin and Erlinda Paule, both longtime SM employees, gave us a glimpse of how they grew up with the company; and Alona Obispo inspired us with the story of her journey from the SM sales floor to the provincial capitol of Quezon.
Philippine Star columnist Dero Pedero gave us a rare glimpse of how the iconic "SM we've got it all" jingle came to be; Scott Garceau wrote about SM from an expat point of view; and Celine Lopez gave a heart-warming account of how her mother became SM's first model.
Meanwhile, generations of families -- the Revillas, the Hensons, the Roa-Punos, the Badidles and the Reynoso-Antons have also shared how SM has become part of their lives.
In line with SM's ongoing 50th anniversary celebrations, SM in partnership with the Philippine Star is launching the My SM Story contest.
Now, SM shoppers and Philippine Star readers can share their own SM stories in no more than 1,000 words. It could be a recollection of buying shoes for a special occasion at SM City Cagayan de Oro, how SM fashion has influenced your personal style or how you and your family simply grew up with SM.
You can tell how your family spend weekends at SM City Cagayan de Oro, gimmick time with friends at any SM malls, or simply your adventure as a mall goer.
There will be 20 winners of P5,000 each and your SM story will be published in the Philippine Star every other Sunday beginning May 4 except for the month of October wherein the stories will be published weekly.
The last My SM Story winner will be published in the Philippine Star's December 21, 2008 issue.
