'Cybersex' couple to sue accusers
By Stephanie Viovicente

A COUPLE accused by their neighbors of running a cybersex operation in their residence in Cagayan de Oro turned the tables onto their accusers and threatened to slap them with libel.

Earlier, several neighbors of Hercules and Lonie Batusin went on air over Bombo Radyo accusing the couple of engaging in cybersex racket by enticing young girls in the neighborhood to perform live sexual acts on the Internet.

"Bombohanay sa udto," a midday radio program hosted by anchorman Michaelangelo Bustamante, ran a series of interviews early this week on the alleged cybersex operation inside the couple's residence at Block B, Lot 6, Seaside, La Paz I, Barangay Lapasan.

The neighbors alleged that the performers, including minors, are paid after Internet "viewers" paid through Western Union -- a popular money-sending service.

But the couple vehemently denied the accusations and reported to the police that their neighbors purportedly wanted their names soiled.

PO1 Reagan Peñaflor, an investigator of Agora Police Station, said the couple is set to file libel charges against their accusers.

The couple had identified Ellen Ebdao, Riza Lungay and Emmalyn Lagapa as their neighbor-accusers, PO1 Peñaflor said.

"They (the Batusins) said they would also ask for the transcripts of the broadcast interview and would file against cases on anyone who will speak further on the matter on air," the policeman said.
