BARANGAY BUGO unveils Friday its annual sportsfest at its mini-gymnasium.

Dubbed as "2008 Barangay Bugo Sports League," a 1:30 p.m. motorcade highlights its opening ceremony with two exhibition games as its initial offering for the day.

Pitted for the preliminary match are the Association of Barangay Councils (ABC) of Cagayan de Oro against the Land Transportation Office (LTO), followed by the Council of Barangay Bugo's showdown with City Council of Cagayan de Oro topbilled by the tandem of councilors Ramon Tabor and Alexander Dacer.

On Saturday, ABC is up for a tough challenge as it will square off with the Baloy Fernandez-led CEED in quarterfinal round of the Cagayan de Oro City Hall's own inter-department basketball tournament.

"Sa Baloy ra among huna-hunaon nga kuhaon sa ilalom para maka-away `mi," said ABC point guard and Barangay 21 Chairman Nanding Abapo, who will be relying a lot on fellow chairmen Loloy Zaballero, Marvin Beja, Potane and Dan Guevarra.
