In the first case, two men were critically wounded when they were shot at First Gusa Caltex Saturday dawn.

The victims were identified as 34-year-old Lenardo Cantilla of Purok 4B, Gusa and 22-year-old Lorenzo Cantilla of Purok 4A, Hillside, also of Gusa.

According to SPO1 Edilberto Barela of Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) Station 3, the victims were shot without reason by two armed men.

Responding policemen found the identification card of one Pfc. Japhet Estore but authorities would not say if he is one of the suspects.

A taxi driver identified as 47-year-old Diosdado Cantorias later reported before police and said that the suspects flagged down his taxicab to flee the crime scene.

In the second incident, a man is currently in critical condition at the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) after he was stabbed with a batangas knife.

The victim was identified as Felipe Sullano, a resident of Zone 4, San Lazaro, Lapasan.

According to PO1 Rodrigo Reyes of COCPO Station 3, Sullano was in front of the pad he rented at around 12 midnight Saturday when he was stabbed without reason by a still unidentified suspect.

Sullano sustained a wound in his chest and was immediately brought to NMMC for prompt medical attention.

This case is still open, too.
