City vet presents semestral report By Cong Corrales
THE City Veterinary Office (CVO) has serviced some 32,544 farmers in six months covering the months of January to July.
City veterinarian Perla Asis, in her report, said CVO had given 13,685 animals vaccination and treated 6,418 animals from various diseases.

They have dispersed 35 pigs, 38 cattles, and a carabao through their office's livelihood program.
CVO performed artificial insemination to 110 swines, 75 cattles, and six carabaos and castrated 1,648 animals.
Asis also included in her report the 15 seminars and cross-visits her office spearheaded during the livestock field day that was attended by 1,804 farmers.
They visited some 15 schools around the city for their information dissemination on rabies and avian flu.
The 157 city pound operation also impounded 672 dogs of which only 29 were claimed by the owners, the rest were disposed of by the CVO.
