Oro Chamber unveils
By Jaraula Cup golfest

A GOLF tourney, featuring the top local parbusters throughout Northern Mindanao, serves as major sports highlight of the Oro Best Expo 2008.

Dubbed as the "Oro Chamber Mayor Jaraula Cup Open Golf Tournament," the three-day event kicks off Thursday morning at the Pueblo de Oro Golf Course in Cagayan de Oro City.

"It's always been exciting to have the game we love most included in our activities, though matching the human resource needs of industries is the main goal of the Oro Chamber's Business-Academe Program (Bap)," said Oro Chamber President Rodolfo Menes, referring to the forum that will simultaneously take place at the Atrium of the Limketkai Center.

Talks on how to strengthen the local economy will not prevent, however, the local stakeholders from flexing off their muscles in the Jaraula Cup to be supervised by PNB guy Noel Nalzaro with the able support of former Water District manager Hector San Juan, among others.

Among the highlights of the Oro Best Expo 2008, other than golf, are the three-day Oro Best Trade Exhibits and Job Fair (also at the Atrium) on October 2-4; the 1st Mindanao Resource Conference on ICT on October 2-3; the 3rd Northern Mindanao BMBE Conference on October 4; the Business Development Centre Open House on October 4 and the 3rd Mindanao Tertiary Schools ICT Quiz Show on October 4.
