CAGAYAN de Oro's whitewater rafting operators are opposed to the bioethanol plant that is being eyed in two upland villages where the city's main river system runs through.
Jerome Garcia, operator of Dome Expedition Tours, said the opening of Barangays Mambuaya and Bayanga to industrial corporations poses an environmental threat to the river. Mambuaya hosts the city's 12-kilometer whitewater rafting course.
