Talentfolio’s ‘Mango Groove’ to kick off in September

Talentfolio, Inc. will launch its latest music movement in Cebu called “Mango Groove” next month.

Two of Cebu’s biggest media agencies, Y101 FM radio station and Sun.Star Cebu publication, have pledged their support for the project.

The event will feature live band performances to revolutionize the local music scene into a sustainable music entertainment industry.

It hopes to redefine Cebuano music by professionalizing its operations and providing artists with opportunities to develop their music to gain commercial and creative success.

Talentfolio said Sun.Star will be the exclusive print media-based presentor of the event. It will produce articles and news features in the daily’s Life and Leisure pages, especially in the Flip section.

It will also include the music movement in its website and SMS. “Sun.Star Cebu has always been a staunch supporter of efforts to improve and develop Cebu’s music scene,” the event organizers said.

Y101 will support Mango Groove by doing a live coverage of the event and featuring some of Cebu’s most sought-after local bands in its weekly rock radio show called “Wicked Wednesday.” The radio show is part of Y101’s commitment to the event.

“Wicked Wednesday” will feature local bands like Powerspoonz, Capsule, Chained and Beverage, and play their original music on air. It will also feature live performances from the event’s participating bands.

For inquiries and sponsorships, one may call Talentfolio at 412-2664, 0917-3291575 or 0916-3428689.
