Ayala golf today at Country Club
By Christian Ben Rodriguez

MORE than 400 golfers converge today for the 7th Annual Ayala Business Club Cebu Golf Tournament at the Cebu Country Club.

The two-day golf event’s ceremonial tee-off, which will be at 9 a.m., will be graced by the Children’s Hour Foundation vice chairman Gina Lopez, CCCI golf chair Cito Ugarte and ABCCI golf tournament chairmen Eugene Elizalde and Leo Cabrera.

Non-CCC members will tour the Country Club greens today, while club members will have their turn tomorrow.

The tournament, considered ABCCI’s biggest golfing event with over P3.2 million in prizes, will have the ABCCI Perpetual Golf Cup, which will bear the names of the tournament’s champions starting this year.

Part of the proceeds from the mulligan tickets which will be sold during the event will go to the Children’s Hour Foundation, which is on a campaign to encourage individuals, organizations and companies throughout the world to donate an hour’s worth of their earnings for the children and the youth.

Aside from the top prizes, four hole-in-one prizes await the lucky ace-maker, which includes one Class B share at the City Sports Club, a Honda VTI-F Civic, an Isuzu Crosswinds XT and a trip to Hong Kong sponsored by Cathay Pacific with accommodations at J.W. Marriott, Hong Kong.

Making the event more exciting is the additional P100,000 cash prize for the first player to score a hole-in-one on top of the designated hole prizes.

Raffle prizes include a Nokia 7650, T65I Ericson cellfones, roundtrip plane tickets to Hong Kong, a digital Kodak camera, one 14k Barbada gold bracelet for men and more.

Also, a Skygo 150cc Dragon Bike will be raffled off to the players who avail of the mulligan ticket in the event backed by Gillamac’s Marketing, Ayala Center Cebu, Cebu Holding’s Inc., Winterpine Marketing Corp. and Taylor Made.
