Hap Japs’ 1st fashion-cum-sculpture fusion show slated in Ayala, Dec. 14
For the first time in Cebu, a fully stylized fusion of fashion and sculpture art will take place at 10 p.m. on Dec. 14 at Hap Japs restaurant located at the Ayala Entertainment Center.
This was announced by Angel Selma, proprietress of Hap Japs and organizer of the show dubbed “Elements of Fusion: the fashion, the art, the party.”
The show will feature the creations of one of Cebu’s top designers, Dino Lloren, and the artistic abilities of artist Chevee Farrarons.
Lloren will showcase oriental designs and the rest of the world as accented with Western or Indian accessories. Farrarons will do the stylized expression interpreted by models.
There will be three separate stages that will be put up within the area close to Hap Japs,” said Julius Quipot of Gap Mobile, an events and sounds group.
He added that the show’s concept of having three separate stages is patterned after the “Puppet Show.”
Ten models will be body-painted by Chevee. Well, 95% of the thing is sculptured already while 5% will be done live,” Quipot said.
If this show works, then we’re doing a bigger version in January,” he added. (Rudynah D. Entera, PR-features writer)
