IT’S going to be mayhem when the New Generation ALA Boys seek glory in the Revicon Boxing Challenge and Sammy G. Gello-ani Boxing Promotion’s “Sinulog Boxing at the Mall” at the Gaisano Country Mall car park tonight.

Gello-ani prepared a total of 70 rounds free to the public which will be covered by In This Corner.

RP junior welterweight champion Dindo Castañares will stake his belt against Rex Marzan in the 12-round main event. Both Castañares and Marzan tipped the scales at 138½ pounds in the official weigh-in session yesterday.

“I see a knockout coming. I prepared for this fight for about four months and I am ready to inflict pain,” said Castañares. “All I want is to win. Win by knockout as quick as possible.”

Castañares’ last fight was called a draw last Oct. 8 against Daigoro Yamamoto in Osaka, Japan.

Meanwhile, the elegant Z Gorres needs to modify his game plan against last-minute replacement Ricky Escaner who is rated No.5 in the super flyweight division. Escaner replaced Eric Barcelona who failed to train for the fight.

Bart Abapo, on the other hand, needs dig deep into his arsenal of punches as he goes up against the veteran Samuel Duran for 10 rounds.

Sherwin Paro will have Julius Jalnaiz as his opponent.

Isidro Lorona Jr. tipped the weighing scales at 105lbs while his opponent, the comebacking Elmer Gejon scaled at 107lbs.

The other bouts for tonight are between Alman Defensor versus Felix Demecillo for eight rounds, Jake Lear vs. Demie Bracuzo for six rounds and Cerillo Cabillon vs. George Salugaol for four rounds.
