CRG’s Guidicelli to race in Asian Karting Finals
By Christian Ben Rodriguez

CEBU Racing Group’s (CRG) Matteo Guidicelli is set to take part in this year’s Asian Karting Championships (AKC) at the Carmona Racing Circuit in Cavite in July.

Guidicelli recently placed second in the three-leg AKC race that ended last Sunday in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The 12-year-old speed master is already on top of his class and seeks to capture this year’s title in the ICA-Junior division as he proved his ability in beating older opponents in the three legs of the race.

“I will do my best and I will do whatever I can to achieve my goal in getting the title of this year’s Asian Championships,” Guidicelli said. Guidicelli added that focus and determination plus the proper training and practice are the vital in the forthcoming international race.

He said he will start training as early as this month and will really stay focused until the start of the race in July because he wants to get the championship title and win most the races in the scheduled four legs of the Asian Championships.

In last week’s championship, Guidicelli was tied with Manila’s Michelle Bumgarner for the points with 65 at the end of the race but still Bumgarner had the upper hand as she won more races in the previous legs than Matteo, who ruled the AKC race.

The second leg of this year’s AKC race will be in August in Indonesia while the third leg will be in September in Singapore. The final leg will be on November in Thailand.

Guidicelli’s father, Gianlucca said they are eager to join all this year’s races as Matteo’s has really improved.
