By Rommel C. Manlosa

ML Kwarta Padala picked three separate wins to gain a slot into the quarterfinals of the Bukidnon Basketball Tour.

The Cash Forwarders, representing the Municipality of Baungon in the tournament, scored a come-from-behind 88-85 victory over the Misamis Oriental players, who represented Lantapan, in their first assignment.

The Cash Forwarders then survived Mandaue City All Stars-represented Kibawe, 81-78, on their second campaign, while pulling a one-sided 106-81 victory against the reinforced University of San Carlos-Malaybalay quintet.

In their first outing, the Cash Forwarders had a tough time containing the Misamis Oriental boys who were waxing hot from all over to post a 15-point lead at the half, 44-29.

ML Kwarta Padala made comeback in the third period to cut the lead down to 10, 53-63, at the start of the final period.

It was a big climb for the Cash Forwarders as they outscored the Lantapan boys, 35-22, in the final frame to get the victory with Jessie Lumantas anchoring the blitz.
