ASSISTANT Cebu City Prosecutor Mary Ann Castro was suspended for six months without pay, just a day after the Office of the Ombudsman-Visayas suspended her for three months for receiving money from a lawyer.

The new suspension, which was recommended by Graft Investigator Charina Navarro-Quijano, stems from an investigation against Castro for recommending the dismissal of a case already filed in court.
