Contractors body seminar set June 6

The Cebu Contractors Association, Inc. (CCAI) will be holding a seminar-workshop on occupational safety and health during the 11th Construction Show Cebu on June 6 to 10 at the SM City Cebu Trade Hall.

The seminar aims to provide participants like contractors, engineers and authorized managing officers with adequate knowledge on accident prevention measures, safety and health programs, implementation guidelines on government regulations and corrective actions and measures set to minimize, if not eliminate, safety and health hazards within construction sites.

The training course will also offer participants a thorough know-how on the pertinent functions of a construction safety officer such as routine construction site safety and health inspection, accident investigation and reporting and assistance to government agencies in the conduct of required government inspections.

The seminar is a joint effort of CCAI, the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc.-Cebu chapter and 11th Construction Show Cebu.
