Reuters offers instant messaging for financing firms to find clients
By Jessica B. Natad

BRITISH news agency Reuters is inviting financing companies in Cebu to subscribe to its new service, Reuters Messaging, a high performance instant messaging service for the global financial community.

“In today’s competitive environment, the ability to communicate efficiently with your customers and colleagues is more important than eaver.  Now, Reuters brings instant messaging to the global financial community, providing a seamless flow of information between you and your customers, business partners and employees,” said Steve Betts, manager of Focus group accounts and marketing of Reuters Ltd. Philippines.

Companies subscribing to Reuters messaging would make better decisions and achieve better results, as the information gets to the right people at the right time, he said during a seminar conducted by the Money Market Association of the Philippines (Mart) at the Laguna Garden Café last week.

Reuters Messaging (www.reuters.com/messaging) is a real-time communications tool that gives a company immediate access to key market contacts anywhere in the world.  The service, which also provides a searchable directory of the financial services community, helps companies find customers and business partners quickly.

Betts said Reuters Messaging enables a company to move quickly toward its goal because the service lets the company check whether contacts are available to do business.

“This means that analysts can be the first to get their research in front of key customers, and fund managers can move quickly on a deal,” he said.

Other features of Reuters Messaging include single or multi-party conversations, “customizable” access features, easy access from the Internet, optional message logging and easy-to-use registration and installation.

During the seminar, Reuters also turned over its P10,000 donation to representatives of the Pari-An Drop In Center managed by Cebu City First Lady Margot Osmeña.

The donation was facilitated by Mart-Cebu.
