Lapu-Lapu fighters post shutout victories

JASON Siaton led Lapu-Lapu City fighters in scoring victories in the resumption of the Rex “Wakee” Salud International Developmental Amateur Boxing at the Flores Gym yesterday.

Siaton controlled the momentum of the game to hand Gherome Buntog of Opao, Mandaue City a 3-0 decision in the 44-kilogram division.

Ronald Apa also scored a 3-0 win for Lapu-Lapu City as he blanked Sherwin Bacquicosa also of Opao, Mandaue City in the 41kg match. While Reggie Pino also pulled a lopsided 3-0 victory over Julius Canis of Paknaan in the 39kg category.

Luis Crisostomo was the lone casualty for the Lapu-Lapu City delegation as he bowed to Ronjel Urot of Tribunal, Mandaue City in the 30kg division.

Other winners were Marjun Urot of Tribunal over Meljun Camidane of Estancia in the 25kg match; Macanori Cañete of Tipolo over Robert Bayo of Opao in the 26kg division; Randy Suan of Opao over Andrew Cañete of Tipolo in the 36kg division; Rodolfo Sumabong over Randy Alilin of Opao in the 37kg match; and Alo Camus of Opao over Hector Perez of Alang-Alang in the 38kg division.
