‘Gunman’ flips; NBI to call 2 officials
SOMERSAULT. That’s what Juan Jesus Vergel de Dios did yesterday, entirely junking his earlier confession that he and Rustico “Loloy” Fernandez killed two Customs officials in an ambush last July 24. De Dios (right, with his lawyer Oliveros Kintanar) said he was afraid and confused. He admitted he was not harmed by the NBI, contrary to the allegation of lawyer Kintanar.(SUN.STAR FOTO/ALEX BADAYOS)
