Short courses available in int’l. culinary school
The International Culinary Arts Academy of Cebu (Icaac) has announced that it is offering short courses.
Courses offered are basic bread making, basic cakes and pastries, and Christmas and holiday specialties.
Open to all people interested in cooking as a hobby or for business, Icaac said all courses are hands-on, delivered by highly experienced chefs.
Each class will hold a minimum of five students and a maximum of eight to 10, it added.
The Christmas and holiday specialties course is offered to prepare interested individuals to make and bake special treats for either business or just gifts for the coming Yuletide season.
For safety and hygiene, the academy will be providing students with hairnets and aprons during the class.
Icaac is the approved training center of the City and Guilds International in the Philippines (CGIP) and is affiliated with SGS Philippines in offering the food safety and hygiene programs of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health-United Kingdom.
The academy offers a two-year and semestral culinary program. Students who pass the international examinations from London will be awarded the corresponding certificates and diplomas issued from London. They will be recognized by world-leading hotel groups.
Icaac said it has a regular intake of students every June and December only. For more details, one may call 256-0461 or 418-2968.
