East Jrs. tower over West in All-Stars By Christian Ben Rodriguez
THE East team prevailed over the smaller West squad, 86-72, Sunday in the Cebu Schools Athletics Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) Secondary All-Star game at the University of San Carlos gym.
University of the Visayas Baby Lancer Flavio Christian Liaz waxed hot for the East squad with 19 points, while UV teammate Michael Jan Camay, the game’s Most Valuable Player, chipped in 13.
The West team only had a glimpse of daylight during the first half when University of Cebu Junior Webmaster Jan Julino Colina and teammate Christian Seno kept their team afloat. Colina piled up the points during the first two quarters, most coming off clean dish-offs from University of San Jose-Recoletos Baby Jaguar Francis Ebon.
