SHS-J, UC into Milo Best finals

DEFENDING Small Basketeers of the Philippines champion Sacred Heart School-Jesuit and University of Cebu disposed of separate rivals to clinch finals seats in the 13th Milo Best basketball tournament at the Cebu Coliseum.

SHS-J downed the erstwhile undefeated Don Bosco Technological Center, 47-39, to clinch the first finals berth in the SBP division.

The Ope Abellana-mentored SHS-J will meet the winner of the Cebu Eastern College-University of San Carlos South Grade School tiff.

In the Passerelle division, UC dumped DBTC, 72-68, for its second finals appearance. Julius Colina dominated the shaded lane to lead UC, while Christopher Sumalinog topped DBTC with 14 points.
