CONCERT. Everything is set for Moonlight and Love Songs concert featuring the one and only Jose Mari Chan with the beauteous Ayen Munji Laurel on Nov. 28 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino (WCCHC) grand ballroom. The show starts at 8 p.m. The Siervas de Nuestra Senora de la Paz (SNSP) in Dam, Carcar, is producing this fund-raising concert for the renovation of its church and the construction of a school for poor children.

Moonlight and Love Songs promises to be an unforgettable concert as there will also be special numbers prior to Chan's performance. Cebu's singing doctor, Warfe Engracia, will render his version of Our Father after Msgr. Oscar Villamor's invocation.

The welcome message will be given by the SNSP superior general, Sister Ma. Epifania Annie Rodrigo. It will be followed by an inspirational talk by Cebu Archbishop Ricardo Cardinal Vidal. SNSP co-chairman Cerge Remonde will deliver his message of thanks, to be followed by a choral presentation by the SNSP nuns.

After the Dance of the Angels, to be choreographed by Val Sandiego, the concert proper will start and will be immediately followed by a gift-giving ceremony and a raffle draw. The prizes include two Skygo motorcycles from Gillamac's Marketing, a round-trip ticket to Bangkok courtesy of Lufthansa and a two-night stay for two at the Westin Philippine Plaza Hotel in Manila.

Watch Moonlight and Love Songs and be truly delighted by some fine music and at the same time, help a very noble cause. Tickets are now on sale at the SM service center, Maanyag Pension House and Maanyag Beauty Parlor in Ayala, Mabolo Parish, Archbishop's Palace, WCCHC and Prudential Life at Manros Plaza. Even this writer is selling tickets (free delivery) so feel free to call or text him anytime.

CHOIR. It is commendable of some young professionals and students to come together to sing for the Lord in their free time. The St. Isidore Choral Ensemble is composed of 30 members whose songs also include Cebuano selections and pop tunes, aside from religious numbers that they perform during regular masses at the Talamban church. But the ensemble also sings during social events and other public gatherings. The group's trainer and accompanist is Bel Suelto, Jr., regional budget officer of the Bureau of Internal Revenue. Those interested in becoming members of the ensemble may call Suelto's tel. nos. 348-8747 or 233-3699 or cell phone number 0917-3964401.
