Sub helps Skygo stay unscathed

SKYGO Motorcycle Riders got huge contributions from their bench players as they picked their third straight win in as many starts for the solo leadership in the Adidas-Samsung 2003 CBF Metro Gaisano Commissioner’s Cup.
The Riders nailed the temporary leadership with alternate center Juripy Balague stepping up big to top the Skygo scorers with 18 markers as Dante Elim contributed 12 in an 89-58 bashing of relatively inexperienced Jaz Cola Kings Monday night at the Consolacion Sports Complex.
Coming off an overwhelming 81-66 victory over Fash Liquid Laundry Detergent last Sunday, the Riders proved their consecutive wins were no fluke as head coach Elmer “Boy” Cabahug gave all his 14 players extra minutes.
With their confidence level very high, all 14 Riders contributed on the offensive thrust, making life even harder for the Kings, who struggled from the onset.
In the nightcap, Christopher Daruca made up for his endgame fault last Saturday as he topped the scoring parade of Granny Goose Tortillos in an 82-74 victory over Fash. The Tortillos Makers’ other point guard, Juvannile Yu, contributed 15, the team’s second-beast output, while swingman Jett Latonio finished with 12 markers for their first win in two games.
