PNRC to hold Ms Red Cross

The Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) Cebu chapter is conducting a search for Miss Philippine Red Cross Cebu 2003.

The search aims to raise funds for its various humanitarian projects and at the same time rediscover the best in Filipino women.

Candidates who are interested in joining the contest must have beauty of face and figure, 16 to 25 years of age, at least 5’2” in height, single, must be intelligent, talented, healthy, and should possess poise and personality.

The contestants must be sponsored by an organization, local government unit or agency and must have a written consent from their parents or guardians.

Prizes are: titleholder, P20,000 cash plus trophy and gift pack; first runner-up, P15,000, trophy and gift pack; second runner-up, P10,000, trophy and gift pack.

Winners for Miss Photogenic, Miss Talent, Miss Friendship, Best in Gown, and Best in Native Costume will receive P1,000 each.

Deadline for nomination of candidates is on Nov. 21. The presentation of candidates will be on Dec. 6. Canvassing of votes will be done on Jan. 9, 2004, Feb. 6 and March 5. Coronation night will be on April 17.

The search committee is headed by Atty. Maribelle Navarro and the other day directors of PNRC Cebu chapter.
