SWU marks Charter Day, Foundation Week
Different booths bearing the themes from the different colleges highlighted the opening day of Southwestern University’s (SWU) 44th Charter Day and University Week celebration recently.
The College of Criminology treated the students with a mock set-up of a crime scene complete with a “dead body” lying in a pool of blood. A police station was also set up with a desk officer at hand.
The Colleges of Optometry and Veterinary Medicine put up a booth for free eye examination and free pet vaccination, respectively.
A trade fair was also held by the School of Business and the College of Arts and Sciences with exhibits from the Colleges of Dentistry, Law, Graduate School, Teacher’s College, Engineering and Computer Studies.
The Charter Day celebration started with a mass at the Aznar Coliseum followed by a performance from the University Choir and SWU Dance Troupe.
