Krua Thai now in Manila
By Jessica B. Natad

CEBU-based Krua Thai Inc. has started penetrating the Luzon market after it opened its first branch in SM Megamall in Ortigas, with Manila-based partner Fine Dine Corp.

Krua Thai proprietor Anthony Ballreich said the company might open other franchised branches in Manila this year as Krua Thai is now evaluating its franchise applicants from Manila.

In Cebu, Krua Thai will open an outlet at the food court of Ayala Center Cebu (ACC) next month, he said.

“This outlet, Krua Thai Food Express ... will be like a fastfood to cater to the movie goers. We are going to bring some four dishes from the Krua Thai restaurant. The rest will be new Thai dishes not found in our other outlets,” Ballreich said.

He said the opening of Krua Thai branches in many areas in Cebu has not affected the sales of its existing branches because each branch is catering to a different market.

Its branch in Mactan is the favorite of expatriates working at the Mactan Economic Zones 1 and 2, while its Crossroads branch serves couples and families. Its SM City Cebu branch is for mall goers.
