Names of kiddie Olympics candidates needed Friday
By Christian Ben Rodriguez

COACHES from the five sports for the Children’s Olympics in July have been ordered by the Cebu City Sports Commission to submit a list of their top athletes tomorrow.

The Olympic Committee recently moved the deadline for delegations to submit their official line-up to Feb. 15. It was earlier set last week of February.

Cebu City Sports Commission Executive Director Allan Torrevillas told Sun.Star Cebu they want the coaches to submit the names of their top athletes who made good showing the past six months.

The city will send athletes in swimming, lawn tennis, table tennis, track and field, gymnastics, lawn tennis and table tennis to the games, which will be for kids aged 12 to 15-years-old and will be held in Cleveland, Ohio. The coaches of lawn tennis and table tennis have submitted their lists.

Torrevillas said that other coaches must submit their line-up tomorrow as the CCSC screening committee headed by Calixto Paquiao will review them this weekend. The official line-up for Cebu City could be ready by Monday.
