Nat’l. swim tilt to test Cebu teams
By Christian Ben Rodriguez

TEAM Cebu City and the rest of the Cebu-based swim clubs will have their hands full as more than 30 clubs from different parts of the Visayas and Mindanao will compete in the 1st Cebu City National Invitational Age-Group Swimming Tournament on Feb. 21-22 at the Cebu City Sports Complex.

Cebu City Sports Commission Executive Director Raul Manawatao told Sun.Star yesterday that many of the out-of-town participants will come from clubs in Mindanao and Visayas, while Luzon clubs will also be expected.

In an effort to further enhance the training of the TCC-Swimming, head coach Tito Bonilla said the national competition will be a good venue for such an evaluation.

“We can determine and fully assess how the TCC members are doing especially as they compete with out of town swimmers who are also on top in their respective clubs or region,” Bonilla said.
