Realtors group to give Cebuanos chance to acquire US properties

GAP Inc. and Home Choice USA have granted Pareb-Central Cebu Board of Realtors (CCBR) the sole right on the program, The International Property Retailing Campaign, in Cebu, a statement said.

CCBR will launch the campaign in a media forum conference at the Cebu Midtown Hotel grand ballroom on Feb. 21.

The conference will be attended by Cebu’s top realtors, brokers and sales agents, potential buyers and investors, and the media.

On this occasion, GAP International, CCBR’s foreign counterpart, together with Home Choice, the Philippine territorial franchiser, will present the opportunity for Cebuanos to buy property, primarily in the United States. It can also facilitate the securing of a temporary US visa.

Pareb-CCBR, through its president, Edmund Garces, who is also president and chief executive officer of Garces Realty & Investment Inc., obtained the territorial rights from GAP Inc. and Home Choice USA.

The territorial rights for foreign property retailing are limited to Cebu realtors, the statement said.

GAP director Barry Powell said: “This is the best time to buy because interest rates are at an all-time low... Price competition from world markets has resulted in keeping prices low, which means low inflation. Low inflation translates directly into low mortgage rates.”
