Sisos dominate in Alta Vista By Patrick C. Costelo
THE Siso siblings reaffirmed their edge in the local tennis scene after all three of them completed a sweep in the recent Alta Vista Age Group Tennis Tournament.
Niño Siso, the Osaka Iridology and Dunlop-backed prodigy, racked up the 12-Under Boys championship with an easy 6-1, 6-2 final victory over Christian John Cabahug of Liloan.
Sallydine Siso, on the other hand, went on to dominate the 12-Under Girls after the Cebu Tennis Shop-backed netter dumped Kristel Mae Buenacosa, 6-3, 6-4.
Sally Mae, the youngest of the siblings who are all varsity players of the University of San Carlos-South Grade School, conquered the 10-Under Unisex group after trouncing St. Benedict’s Jacob Lagman, 6-2, 6-0.
The 21-Under Boys saw University of Cebu’s Janji Soquiño outplay James Dumoran for the diadem, while Benebeth Patindol ruled the 12-Under Girls.
Julian Lagman nabbed the 16-Under Boys title as Francis Largo claimed the 14-Under Boys. Rosalinda Jaca and Gin Querubin topped the 14-Under and 16-Under Girls.
