Speak out: Protecting the environment By Norma M. Amacna Abellana National School
Today, people are aware of the advantages of industrialization. But it also has negative effects.
The question is, which would you prefer, wealth or health?
We already know the effects of progress on the environment. Do we want to have a progressive nation with an ailing population? If we are only after the money, we can never make this country great.
Man, in the last two epochs of the Cenozoic era, prevailed over his ferocious competitors because of his intelligence. We should use this God-given trait wisely to keep the earth habitable for all.
Place clean and green in dynamic equilibrium in the three major divisions of the earth and not only within the four walls of a classroom.
Educate people on how pollutants from engines, factories and many industrial firms can damage the physical and mental health of mankind.
Be a responsible in putting everything and everyone in its habitat.
If everyone in the community works together in preventing further damage to the environment, we can save the generations to come and bring forth peace, prosperity and happiness in the future.
