Karting champ, hoopsters in Scoop today
KARTER Matteo Fernan Guidicelli will be one of the guests in today’s Sports Communicators Organization of the Philippines (Scoop) forum, which starts at 11:30 a.m. at the Baseline Restaurant.
Joining Guidicelli will be the 11 Cebu players who will see action in the upcoming RP-Cebuana Lhuillier Try-Outs ng Bayan Visayas Mindanao Final Showdown in Dumaguete City this weekend.
Also in today’s guest roster are the organizing committee of the upcoming Shell Super Kart Series, which kicks off this Saturday in Kartzone, and veteran basketball coach Mark Anthony Tallo, who will discuss his Online Basketball Clinic.
Guidicelli, who nearly plucked twin titles in last weekend’s showdown in Carmona Cavite, recorded the best Filipino lap record during the race.
Aside from making the record book, Matteo also won the Rotax division. He is currently in the hunt for a spot in the Rotax World Finals in Madrid, Spain this 2005. Winning the Philippine Rotax division title will earn him a ticket to the world tournament.
Meanwhile, Cebu Basketball Federation four-time champion coach Edsel Vallena, who is also the Visayas leg trainer of the RP-Cebuana Lhuillier Try-Outs ng Bayan, will be accompanying the 11 cagers in Dumaguete. CBR
