Ordering sugar online possible
ANYBODY who wants to know anything about the country’s sugar industry can simply log onto psma.com.ph.
Aside from providing the latest news on the local and international sugar scene, the website of the Philippine Sugar Millers Association (PSMA) Inc. also allows sugar buyers to order online, according to a statement.
The website contains information on the present and future prices of sugar, policy advocacy and frequently asked data including sugar production, withdrawals, retail and wholesale prices, and imports and exports figures.
Surfers can also explore the website of PSMA’s major local affiliates like the Sugar Industry Foundation, Philippine Association of Sugar Refiners Inc., Philippine Sugar Technologists Association Inc. and Philippine Sugar Research Institute.
Sugar production is one of the few remaining agro-industries in the countryside. The industry directly provides employment to about half a million individuals and indirectly provides livelihood to almost five million people. JBN
