Bankers’ convention kicks off today
The Cebu Federation of Rural Banks (CFRB) is hosting the 51st Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines (RBAP) annual national convention today, April 22, until April 23 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino (WCCHC).
The event dubbed “Balik sa Cebu 2004” will have the theme, “Rural Banks: The Ideal Partners in Countryside Development.”
Keynote speakers are Margarito B. Teves, president of Land Bank of the Philippines, and Ricardo Tan, president of the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corp.
The convention will highlight the sweeping changes that are transforming the RBAP into a relevant and effective service and advocacy organization for the rural banking industry.
More topics will include the latest initiatives of RBAP to deliver new profitable banking products/services and effective productivity enhancement tools, technologies and training programs.
Industry issues, concerns and developments will also be addressed in both plenary and special sessions.
