Matimco picked outstanding processed wood manufacturer

Matimco Inc. has been awarded the Most Outstanding Manufacturer of Processed Wood by the Parangal ng Bayan Foundation Inc.

The honor was giving during the 19th Annual National Consumers Excellence Award held at the
Carlos P. Romulo auditorium of the RCBC Plaza in Makati city.

It was Parangal’s first to give an award on the category, making Matimco the first wood company in the Philippines to receive it.

The award is given to outstanding companies/manufacturers, products, and services that have made excellent contributions in shaping the well-being of the Philippine market.

It was created to check on the quality of the different brands through research and survey to guarantee that the products and services offered to the Filipino consumers conform to the highest standards while maintaining quality.

“This award is a milestone for Matimco, Inc. in reaching our vision of a wood company being comparable to the best of the rest of the world. We have to sustain this momentum by focusing more on our efforts to provide customer satisfaction, to achieve operational excellence through our culture of performance. I believe we can achieve the other milestones ahead as we work as a team. This award is just a step towards our journey in attaining the vision,” said Charlie H. Liu, chief executive officer.

Matimco is the maker of the first ever pre-treated wood in the Philippine market known as Matwood. The Matwood product line includes wooden framings, mouldings, panellings, floorings, stair components, doors and door jambs.

The Parangal ng Bayan Foundation is the country’s biggest organization which gives due recognition to outstanding companies, manufacturers, products and services, which contribute to the economic progress of the Philippines.
