Domingo regains Tour lead

ENRIQUE Domingo got the yellow jersey back after finishing eighth in the grueling 214-kilometer stage 14 of the Air 21 Tour ng Pilipinas.

Domingo, who lost the lead to Ryan Tanguilig after Stage 12, finished with a time of 6:0:5 behind teammate Lloyd Reynante and Dole’s Michael Primero and Michael Ramos, who topped the stage with a time of 5:53:24.

Domingo now has a total time of 58:31:34 ahead of Albert Primero of Dole, Joel Calderon of Beer na Beer and Lloyd Reynante.

Tanguilig, who finished at 36th with a time of 6:10:27, dropped to fifth in the overall standings, trailing Domingo by almost four minutes as the tour goes into the last three stages.

Dole Philippines also made huge strides in yesterday’s stage with Primero and Ramos’ finish to take the second spot from Beer na Beer in the overall standings.

Team Postmen are still ahead overall, posting a 21-minute lead over Dole. Erstwhile second placer Beer na Beer trails Dole by 28 minutes.
