Speak out: Good policemen
By Dodong Cadampog

Through Sun.Star Cebu, I would like to take this opportunity to thank elements of the Mabolo Police Station for their effort in recovering my cell phone that I inadvertently left in a taxicab the night of June 2, 2004.

Actually, the driver sped away when I discovered the loss of the cell phone, forcing us to give chase. Fortunately, I was able to jot down the name and the plate number of the vehicle.

The following morning, I went to the taxi firm’s garage and confronted the driver, who initially denied he had the item. But after my friends interrogated him further, he admitted selling the phone to a vendor in Junquera St.

We then blottered the incident at the Mabolo Police Station and the cops there wasted no time in conducting an operation that led to the recovery of the item.

I salute PO3 Roldan Paller, PO3 Adolfo Morales, PO1 Jonax Velez and investigator PO1 Armando L. Juegos for a job well done. May their tribe increase!
