It was the night of her debut and Ingrid Marie Mendezona Mejia couldn’t have been happier. Venue was the Cebu Hall of the Grand Convention Center where balloons and butterflies reigned. Color motif was pink and purple echoing Ingrid’s pink gown with purple accent.
The eldest child of Jimboy and Ma. Theresa Mejia, Ingrid is also the first grandchild of Delia (Honrado) and the late Ted Mejia. Maternal grandma Judith Sienes Mendezona describes her as a responsible “manang” to her five siblings.
The celebration brought together family and friends who all wished Ingrid the best that life has to offer.

A visit of an old friend is always a cause for celebration, more so for people who are abroad and are hungry for news of the old hometown. When Chingching Sy went to California and called up her former colleaques in Manila Bank, they lost no time in organizing a get-together at the West Covina home of Libet dela Victoria. It was a time of reminiscing for Ching Lim Sanchez, Miriam Barba, Jun Jumamoy, Elsa Cusilit, Cora Sy, Gilda Ceniza, Roy and Carmeling Roa. Another reunion is in the offing, this time in the lovely home of George and Ching Sanchez in Pico Rivera when Susing Valenzuela, another colleague, will visit.
