Jennylyn Mercado: ‘Living the Dream’

GMA Records has announced the release of Living The Dream, the debut album of fast-rising teen star Jennylyn Mercado.

After revealing her acting ability in Stage 1 the Starstruck Playhouse, Jennylyn now unfolds her singing prowess with her new album that is expected to be a big hit. The carrier single Kahit Sandali, composed by Vehnee Saturno, is currently being played on the airwaves and has become the most requested song for the month of June.

The album contains 10 tracks: the carrier single, Tamang In Love, Living The Dream, Astig Ang Boyfriend Ko, Pump It Up, Sapat Na Ang Minsan, The Power of the Dream, Starstruck (Final Judgment) plus her own version of the revival hit If I’m Not in Love, her duet with Janno Gibbs.

The teen star’s charming face as well as her cool and calm personality has earned her several commercial offers. She is currently the image model of BCNY, Bambini cologne and lotion and Star Choco Nut. Before she joined Starstruck, Jennylyn was a senior student at the Augustinian Abbey where she actively took part in school programs. She has performed in several lounges before she joined the phenomenal reality-based talent search, where she eventually emerged as the “Ultimate Survivor.”

Because of her hectic work schedule, she had to take a leave from school. But the new GMA recording artist promised herself she would finish high school and would immediately take up Mass Communications as soon as her schedule permits.

When she’s not too busy, this young performer prefers to take power naps instead of joining her friends for a night-out. Jennylyn believes that the secret to her success is her determination to follow her dream. She has always dreamed of being a recording star. With her debut album, her wish has finally been granted.

Living the Dream is sponsored by BCNY, Bambini cologne and lotion, Converse, Star Choco Nut, McDonald’s, MTV Philippines, Crosswinds Tagaytay and Tagaytay Heights.

Jennylyn will have an album-signing session at 5 p.m. on July 30 at the SM City Cebu Entertainment Plaza.
