Man shot dead while on date at Marcelo Fernan Bridge park

A DATE at the park below the Marcelo Fernan Bridge turned ugly last Saturday after unidentified men robbed the couple of their valuables.

One of the three robbers also shot victim Allan Bullecer, 21, while another hogtied his companion, Marife Sagarino, 21, and put her at the back of a van. Bullecer was pronounced dead on arrival at the Cortes General Hospital.

The two were talking inside their van at around 3 p.m. when the three men suddenly showed up.

Foiled escape

Sensing trouble, Bullecer attempted to start the engine but was shot.

Sagarino was taken to the backseat where she was hogtied and divested of valuables.

With the victims inside the van, the robbers drove the vehicle to Barangay Cubacub and transferred to a taxi.

Sagarino told Canduman Police Chief Nicandro Seno that while she and Bullecer were talking inside the van, roving tanods passed by their vehicle.

Surprise

But they were surprised when three other men showed up.

Initially, they thought the men wanted them to park elsewhere. It was too late when they realized what the three wanted.

When Bullecer was shot, Sagarino tried to escape but one of the suspects blocked the door.

She was brought to the backseat where her hands and feet were tied with packaging tape.

The suspect also took her watch, bracelet, cellular phone, ring and cash all worth about P19,000.

Bullecer lost his cellular phone worth about P24,000, his wallet and some documents.

Sagarino said their attackers didn’t cover their faces.

Seno told Sun.Star that an empty shell for a 9mm pistol and shards of glass were found at the crime scene. AAG
