THE unstoppable Penshoppe Pink Flamingos extended their winning roll to 12 after posting two blowout victories Saturday to secure the top spot entering the final round of the 1st Smart 6-on-6 CFFL Tournament at the Divine Word Seminary.

The Flamingos trampled on the Luigi’s District Sixers, 51-0, and similarly trounced the Lokal Titans, 32-6, to log a dominating 12-1 slate.

Flamingo PJ Sykimte scored 18 points against the Titans to fortify spot as the league’s top scorer with of 136 points while his teammate Perez wreaked havoc with identical 18 points to trounce the Sixers.

Sure spot

Even if Penshoppe loses its last two games in the elimination round, it will remain at the No.1 spot while the last three seats will have to be fought out by the Lokal Titans, Cebu Fitness Centre Lions, Vudu Vikings and the Pyroworks Rebels.

Meantime, after sweeping their two assignments last Saturday, the Vito Perez-led Lions are now tied at 8-5 with the Vudu Vikings and Pyroworks Rebels. The teams’ last two games this Saturday will be crucial.

The Vikings will face the Lokal Titans next Saturday in a game that will make or break their entry to the championship round while the Pyroworks Rebels are in a more precarious situation against the formidable Flamingos.

The championship round on Aug. 7 will field the top four teams in a crossover format with the winners taking slots to the title match while the losers battle for third place.
