Globe Telecom partners with USJ-R for IT training

Globe Telecom, Inc. and the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) recently signed a memorandum of agreement for the advancement of the educational training and skills of the academe’s IT and engineering students.

Globe has chosen USJ-R to be a beneficiary of its Globe Technical Advancement Program (G-TAP), wherein it will train the school’s faculty on the use of state-of-the-art digital GSM cell site equipment and help them integrate basic GSM technology in the curriculum, donate digital GSM base transceiver station, microwave transmission equipment and antenna to the university, and open itself for internship of the academe’s graduating students.

G-TAP is an industry-academe linkage program that promotes student excellence in the fields of IT and communications engineering through curriculum update and development, and hands-on training.

It is a corporate social responsibility initiative of Globe that is geared towards the education of the youth.
