I could have dance all night

Graduates of St. Theresa’s College (High School and College levels) do celebrate every year, and this year, a total of 21 classes, all dashing and resplendent, like the precious stones they were representing, made a beeline for the “old familiar halls”. Theme of this year’s grand Homecoming was “STC: Surpassing Transitions and Challenges in 2004”.

It wasn’t just a one-day event, but a weeklong string of activities.. sponsored masses, medical missions, and even an “Evening with St. Therese”. On the day itself, Rev. Fr. Jim Gorre offered a Jubilee Mass for the classes, at the school chapel which look more ethereal than ever!

After that sumptuous merienda catered by Laguna Garden Café, everyone repaired to the auditorium for the much-awaited and eagerly-anticipated program. You don’t get to see an exquisitely-choreographed and conceptualized “Broadway Show” by Guam-based Cebuano Benjie Diola everyday!

The ten well-crafted numbers all from the “Best of Broadway” followed a lively systematized format, with the credits/stars shown on powerpoint. So, action was fast-paced and had no interruptions whatsoever. Lights, sounds were in perfect unison, as the players pranced, sashayed, marched, bounced, trotted, romped, dipped, swirled, glided, frolicked and curtsied to a thundering audience!
Truly STC has gone professional and theatrical.

The Jubilarians then went to Waterfront Hotel for a fund-raising bash with STAA prexy Marissa N. Fernan, spearheading the affair. Now, do you still wonder why Marissa shouldn’t be our President-for-Life?

Oh yes! Theresians ended up at the Grand Ballroom with two Dance Bands to do guess what? Dance all night, of course!
