ICT road mapping for Cebu slated By Cedf-it Corner
TO help transform Cebu into a major software and e-services hub in the country, the Cebu Educational Development Foundation for Information Technology (Cedf-it) has organized a strategic Road Mapping Conference-Workshop on Sept. 24 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Cebu Country Club.
To be participated in by its members from the academe, industry, government and non-government organizations, the conference workshop will put together, through brainstorming and discussion, a medium-term strategic road map.
The road map will serve as guide for Cedf-it’s educational development activities for the next five to 10 years. Strategic questions from the recently concluded Human Resources ICT Survey involving Cebu’s specific profile, industry trends, gaps and needed interventions, as well as other implications will be tackled.
The head of the country’s highest policy-making body in IT, Secretary Virgilio Peña of the Commission on Information and Communications Technology, will deliver the keynote message.
The Usaid is funding the conference.
