Trinidad invites Vis-Min players to PBL Aspirants Camp
COMMISSIONER Chino Trinidad hopes players from the Visayas and Mindanao will show up when the Philippine Basketball League stages its Aspirants Camp on Sept. 29 at the Makati Coliseum.
The commissioner has already expressed high hopes of finding new talents during the one-day camp, as there are plenty of basketball leagues in Manila.
“There are plenty of fine players in the UAAP, NCAA and other collegiate leagues in Metro Manila right now so I’m certain we can discover a new crop of exciting players,” said Trinidad.
“I’m also hoping that some players from Visayas and Mindanao will show up this time and be part of the league.”
According to Trinidad, in the NCAA alone, there are many promising ball handlers.
Meanwhile, the PBL Rookie Draft Pick will be staged on Oct. 1 with the venue still to be announced. JSV
