Cebu Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Agapito Hontanosas Jr. was dismissed from the bench after the Supreme Court found him guilty of two counts of gross misconduct, one count of gross ignorance of the law and simple misconduct.
The High Court came down hard on Hontanosas, who presides over RTC Branch 16, because he entertained litigants in his home and demanded money from them in exchange for a favorable ruling.
