‘Pistahan’ in Argao
Members of 106 chapel organizations, majority of which are from the mountain areas, will bring their produce and share these with the lowlanders in a community feast dubbed “Pistahan sa Parokya” set on Sept. 28 in Argao, said parish priest Msgr. Jose Montecillo.
“Pistahan” will serve as culmination of the daily activities lined up to celebrate the Argao fiesta in honor of St. Michael Archangel.
Highlighting the event is the presentation of a stage drama by the youth group and church leaders. Directed by Aljin Abaquita, the drama is a satirical version titled “Botikaw…Botikaw…Ikaw.”
The local government unit led by Mayor Wilfredo Caminero has also its own way of celebrating the feast. On Sept. 26, a “4X4 River Challenge” will be held in barangay Canbanua. This will culminate in a concert in the evening featuring the Sexbomb Dancers with Paolo Ballesteros, one of Eat Bulaga’s hosts.
