Nurses body to mark founding anniversary
For the 68th founding anniversary of the Philippine Nurses Association-Cebu chapter, week-long activities have been lined up from Sept. 26-Oct. 2.
Along this celebration, the local and regional convention will also be held. Theme is “Commitment to Quality Service through Professionalism.”
Activities include: Sept. 26 – 6:30 a.m. holy mass, 8:30 a.m. motorcade, 10 a.m. parlor games, opening/ribbon cutting of exhibit, 1 p.m. variety show, 3 p.m. press conference, 5 p.m. Miss PSNA search;
Sept. 27 – 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Health Fair (city-wide); Sept. 28 – 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Professional Updates; Sept. 29 – 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Job Fair; 6 p.m. Star in a Million; Sept. 30 – 8 a.m.-12 noon seminar on “Assessment Skills and Nursing Management of Patient with CRF,” 12-1 p.m. blessing of the PNA Clubhouse Office-Extension; 2-5 p.m. seminar on “Livelihood Program for Nurses;”
Oct. 1 – 7-8 a.m. chapter and regional convention (inspirational messages by PNA national president Ruth Padilla, Mayor Tomas Osmeña and Gov. Gwen Garcia and keynote speech by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo), 1:30 p.m. launching of the PNA-Cebu chapter website, business meeting, reports; 4:30 p.m. Comelec’s report and presentation of winners; 8 p.m. Fellowship Night; Oct. 2 – 8 a.m.-4 p.m. city tour.
