Smart turns wireless lab over to UC

THE University of Cebu last Oct. 11 celebrated the birthday of its president and founder, lawyer Augusto W. Go, and the blessing and inauguration of the Smart wireless laboratories in its main and Banilad campuses.

The lab is one of two components of the Smart Wireless Engineering Education Program (Sweep), which Smart designed to help schools raise the level of technology and engineering education in the country.

The other component is a continuing education program, under which Smart engineers are deployed to conduct lectures on industry developments.
