Database for Pinoys in IT launched

THE only online employment service in the Philippines focused on information technology (IT) was launched Friday in Cebu.

Gina Duminy, www.it-pros.ph vice president, said there were already over 6,000 IT professionals profiled in the system, “with 500 ICT (information and communications technology) hiring companies.”

The Cebu system of the site was launched during the third anniversary celebration of the Cebu Educational Development Foundation for Information Technology (Cedf-it) at City Sports Club Cebu.

The website and Cedf-it, its partner in Cebu, are undertaking a project on certification and industry standards development. (CTL)
